People have been installing this or something similar to this fixture for years. What is your concern?

I would simply caution you to purchase the correct size for your room.

There is no concern, I want to see how it looks in people’s homes.

What difference does it make in how it looks in other people's homes? It only matters how it will appear in YOUR HOME.

Are you ready to attach the prisms? Cleaning them?

You don't say for what room; 13" is small, for instance for a front entry hall at 6' x 7' it would work.

We would like to SEE how it looks in other peoples homes because we have no idea how it will look in our home or how it will look per it’s. The only way to know how it will look in ANY home is to 1) see photos 2) purchase the light and put it together, which makes in ineligible for return.

I had one like this in my previous home . i used it in small book nook.

I had a very similar one in a bathroom that unfortunately I no longer live in or I'd send a picture. It was nice. A little formal for my taste but it was very pretty. I never cleaned the prisms in the seven years we lived there. Maybe because it was in a bathroom it didn't get much dust, all hard surfaces around it. It never looked dirty.
