Window treatment advice

last modified: 4 years ago

Hi, what would you do for window treatments in this kitchen? We want them for privacy at night and so the room looks polished. We have a nice view but the neighbors can see straight in. And when I'm at the sink, I feel like I'm spying on them because the view is right into their back yard/back of house/I can see what they're watching on TV. We don't need anything on the sliding doors that face our back yard.

I've thought about top down/bottom up woven shades but not sure if those could work with our casement window cranks -- can those be outside mounted? Or simple roller blinds, but those might not look as finished as shades. Or cafe curtains, but those might not work on the large picture window beside our table. Would you do the same treatments throughout or treat the kitchen area separate from the eating area? Thanks for any ideas!

These are renderings since we're in the middle of a remodel.

Here's a real life picture.

And here's the adjacent room to get an idea of our style.
