help with window treatment

last modified: 4 years ago

I am helping my mom with remodelling and redecorating her house overseas The house was updated to add high ceiling wich makes the windows seem low. I would love your advice on window treatment ideas for her living and dining areas. I tried drawing the shape of the living and dining areas below just on my phone. The yellow lines are doors and the one in the dining area leads to the kitchen and the one in the living room leads to a small terrace/outdoor sitting. The blue lines are the windows we would like to cover plus the two door frames that lead to the hallway...

She sent me the pictures to visualise the room and share ideas for curtains. They are in the process of emptying the house so ignore the clusterbon the floor. The actual floor is beige tiles

This picture is the dining room and door leading to the kitchen

This picture is the door frame leading to the hallway from the living room dirrectly facing the main door.

This picture is pretty bad but is the window aligned to the main door.

How high would you hang the curtains and what type of curtains would look good for a modern feel?

What should she used for the doorframes so you don't see the hallway and bedrooms from the dining area and the living room?
