Pretty space! Consider adding nice artwork above the sofa. Maybe a unique wooden object on the coffee table that ties with the wood tables by the fireplace. A couple pretty candlesticks on the mantel?

Very pretty. A rug with another color/subtle pattern and large artwork that picked up the rug color would be nice.

Serene and beautiful room! Maybe add a floor plant for some natural, living greenery -- probably on the open end of the sofa (not near the fireplace end). Then see if you'd like a smaller plant on the coffee table or one on each table flanking the fireplace. Have fun playing with it!

Calming, relaxed feeling. How about adding a luxury throw for the sofa with patterned pillows in various sizes?

Can you get a second mirror to match that one and hang them 5" above the two console tables with the lamps pulled to the sides? Add art above the mantel and behind the sofa. What are your plans for the windows?

Some color?

I would get some art for over the sofa, and then get a pillow for one or both of the chairs that draws a color from the art, maybe a throw ove an arm of the couch using the same color(s).

I would remove the mirror as it is only reflecting the staircase…..artwork above the mantle with some color then add accessories to bring the colors down into the room. Some textures would be nice too.

Art work and panels at the window

Pretty room. But my eyes are drawn to the perfectly symmetrical console tables and what’s on them. The objects look stiff and a bit bland - like you’re in a model home. Maybe make them a bit different for interest?

Just out of interest… have you considered turning your rug so that (from out view- its length is going left to right?)

It needs more balance of light and dark. It doesnt have to necessarily be colorful, but that certsinly can work. If you want to stick to neutrals, you can try adding some taupe or tan throw pillows, maybe some texture in there- either make it more casual and west coast vibe with some faux fur or maybe luxe with silky material, or classic linen with a little but if pattern to carefully repeat in a coordinated, but not too matchy matchy kind of way.

Maybe move the mirror to above the sofa - it will reflect light, but I dont see what the view is and if it is worth it. That or remove it altogether.

Again, if wanting to keep neutral, you can find neutral textured art, or neutral mkdern art, whatever, but keep it light… Unless it is a bit mid tone then you need to balance that out in the room.

Have you considered removing the tables next to the fireplace? maybe lamps on each end if sofa? Or have them painted a neutral comkr that is lighter, but still enough ti differentiate from the sifas? It looks very visually heavy there. Otherwise balance it on the other oarts of the room?

In short, at first glance, it looks very nice and coordinated, just needs finishing touches. :-)

The fireplace wall is the feature wall and you have to get that right.

The horizontal mirror brings your ceiling down visually. I would replace it with some type of round mirror and candle sconces. You can use those battery pillar candles to avoid any issues with soot or wax.

I would add texture and color by placing canvases on either side of the fireplace. They don't have to be this subject manner, but the two should relate. Add a narrow buffet lamp and some accessories on top of the cabinets.

Add some art and a few accent pieces in one or two colors. The pillows on the sofa are too large unless your usual friends and guests are short and need a large back pillow. If you plan on window treatments, select that fabric first and repeat one color from the fabric.

This room is near perfection. I'm a huge fan of monochromatic and minimal looks using traditional furnishings and decor and you have nailed it. I don't love the mirror above the fireplace. I would add something else there and leave the wall above the sofa blank. Add a few coffee table books or a large wood or woven bowl to the coffee table. I'd move to another room your picture frames and tiny plants on the lamp tables. Instead I would get a plant for one of them to add some greenery. I would not get colored or patterened pillows for here unless they are just a simple neutral texture. It is easy to decorate by getting matchy with accent colors, but you have something more elevated and special going on here.
