Help me decide on paint color!!

We’re remodeling our split level home, and I’m having the toughest time deciding on colors for the beadboard in our stairway and interior front door. The kitchen has white cabinets, a dark sagey green island called “eucalyptus”, the walls in the living room/kitchen and entryway is Benjamin Moore Pale Oak (a very light greige).

Do I stick with a white for the beadboard/door to match all the trim, or should I go with a darker color like charcoal or something else? I’ve been trying to stay away from just beige or gray, so I can use colors that go with either.

I’m attaching photos of the space mid reno. Please ignore the green on the walls, as that is all being replaced with Pale
oak or backsplash.

Phew, I just reread your post and I missed your getting rid of the green. I was nervous there for a moment.

Beaded board I associate with cottages, so I wouldn't paint it white. What color is the island? What if you go with the darkest of that blue?

The back of the island and side of the lower cabinet are panels that match the rest of the cabinets, they just haven’t been installed yet.
We haven’t installed the tile backsplash yet. This is all in the process of being done, hence the unfinished appearance.

No pro, but I'd go dark since it is a tall space that can carry it. Love the green for your island! Post finished pics.

I love the island color. Its very pretty. I would do the bead board the same color as the island.
