IMO railing for decoration is not really neccessary and since no entry to the roof is designed I would not have arailing suggesting this is a roof deck and remove the sutters of the double windows they never are right and laso the sutter on the windows next to the chimney.

My home is somewhat similar to yours. The 1921 plans originally called for a lovely Chinese Chippendale pattern. They’ve since been replaced with standard vertical railings, but I cannot wait to replace them with the original spec.

A Georgian home will support a variety of designs.

I would go with Chippendale of some sort. It does serve more than a decorative purpose.

We ended up finishing this project and I just love it- went with a Chippendale style roof railing from the Porch Co- I think it balances our home and adds interest. Thanks for your advice all who commented 😊
