Yellowwood tree help

Can I get some advice on this tree? Last spring I went to the nursery looking for another flowering cherry tree as we need shade for the patio at the back of the house. They didn't have any so the person there suggested this Yellowwood. Like a dummy I bought it without research (I wanted something fast growing and easy to maintain). Lesson learned. Anyway, when they delivered it it had a broken branch- the ONLY branch on that side of the tree. I complained-they brushed me off and told me to plant it and that it would be fine. So one year later I am still a bit upset about the branching on only one side of the tree and I get angst every time I look at it. I guess I'm wondering if it will ever branch out more evenly from the existing branches? Do I spend money getting an arborist out here to train it or just dig it up and plant a different tree? I think it was close to $300 when I bought it- but is it is going to cost me that much or more each time I have it trimmed? I love trees in general and I hate the thought of digging it up but if there is no hope for it I need to know. :-) Thoughts?
