Get a 6ft metal U or T post and hammer into the ground. Sink whatever you can of the beach umbrella in the ground beside post and Zip tie together.

I’d be more likely to sink three appropriately spaced posts in concrete and attach a shade sail to them.

Is your front yard fenced? How do you stop a one year old from running out into the street?

Maybe use a beach tent. Or get a sandbox that has a roof on it.

The shade range of the beach umbrella is still relatively limited. A shade sail can provide shade to your backyard on a larger scale. It is also more suitable for small children to provide shade while playing in the backyard.
