Why does the shower head have to be American Standard? Have you looked at Delta or Moen? Both of those are reasonably priced and they should have a matte or brushed gold option.

Pull the shower curtain closed? 🙂My husband sprat painted a few light fixtures with metallic spray paint. Not sure how that would work with a shower head though.

With regards to how low the shower head is you can buy extenders on amazon. they are not expensive. took me a few tries until i found one i liked. Search s shape riser or extension arm and then the color you want.

@Sabrina Alfin Interiors you cant change the brand because all valve stems are brand specific and the only way to change manufactures is to tear into the shower wall.

It was frustrating to get that far and learn that little tidbit of information. The shower was done by the previous owner and I was very happy with the style!

About the low water pressure, how was it before update? Is it lower than before or same as before?

Keep the shower curtain closed and save your money. Your renovation looks terrific. Hide the one part that takes away your happiness about an incredibly well done job.
