The drink rail is "better" in the sense that it gives you a lot of real estate to put down... you guessed it...a drink. This is only helpful if you plan on having large parties in your deck, or you plan on standing at the rail with a drink. The rest is aesthetic.

I am not a fan of Azek on the flat. That stuff will expand and contract quite a bit and your pretty mitered corners will self-destruct and/or the Azek will lift in a hump.

Dfnj—did you end up installing your AZEK Deck? Would love any feedback or pictures, if available.
