are we talking about the strange wall with all the mirrors or the foreground?

The first thing I noticed was the dropping ceiling fan, if you put a good focal point fixture there, peoples eyes will not be looking to the hall, I would highly consider taking down all the mirrors as well.

in the foreground I would skip the chairs, and add fabulous artwork with a console and maybe have too ottomans tucked under it. It would be good to see the foyer and and a picture looking at that wall.

without seeing a bit more of the space, I would treat it like an extension of the Dining Room, add alarge buffet, floor plants, yes, a large rug... I'd like a longer dining table, pulled closer to the opening, taller window treatment, everything looks so compartmentalized.

I just realized what @rl relocation LLC described on the mock attached below. Since your wall is rather khaki-coloured, I would hang a painting with a bright and colorful accent on the white background.

How does the front door relate to the area in question? Is there a coat closet anywhere near the entry? Do you love the mirrored wall? Are you a serious fan of big clocks or just afraid of making a mistake with art? Looks like the end chairs at the dining table will fall off the rug if pulled out and sat in; rug should be 36-42" larger than the table top all around but not run into baseboards. Have you tried it in the foyer? I'm not a fan of round rugs but you might get a larger version of the same rug for the dining room, use that one in the hallway and make the entire space feel more unified. That would be especially important to do if you'd like to have a big buffet there; the two spaces would seem more like one dining room, which could work better for you.

It seems like you could easily do two chairs with a side table, some artwork, and a rug. Below are a few ideas from our designs we have done for clients.
