Sambac Jasmine with yellowing, dropping leaves.

Hello all,

I have a fairly large Sambac Jasmine topiary with some issues.

During the winter (in a climate controlled greenhouse), many of the leaves started to turn yellow. Now that it is outside for the summer (I live near NYC), many of the leaves are getting even yellower and are dropping. I am worried it is on track to defoliate completely and die. As you can see, many branches are pretty bare as of now.

It is in fairly full-sun right now and is about 4 feet tall in a 12 inch plastic pot. It is in potting soil with Osmocote. It rains quite a bit so it never dries out too much. I have not actually repotted it in years.

Maybe it needs new soil and a bigger pot? Better fertilizer? Less water? More water?

What should I do to get it back to good health?
