I see on a website that they both say that they are Camellia Sinensis. But one says:
- Small leaf Camellia Sinensis Var. Sinensis
....and the other one says:
- Camellia Sinensis Big Leaf Tea Plant, also known as Tea Camellia or Assam Tea.
From what I'm gathering is the small leaf one is more cold hardy but grows slower. The big leaf one has bigger leaves and grows faster but is less cold hardy.
Does anyone know anything about this and which one is better? I'm in zone 7(a). They both seem to be ok for my area, but I'm more concerned with getting better results for making matcha tea. Thank you.
