"local vendor" what does that mean. a local cabinet builder who can plan with you to demolish and ready the space......build the new to your specs and finish or arrange finish and install can be worth it. look for comprehensive services from a local person as they may have materials and labour ready and the home sales are slowing so they may have better time window for you along w good customer service for your needs. it just depends. take advantage of slowdown right now. the big box stores arent that responsive to these sorts of fluctuations.

I went with Kraftmaid all plywood, painted maple Larken style (skinny than usual rails and stiles). I paid $11.4K for 11 cabinets. I placed my order first week of Nov. 2021 just before a 9% price increase.

I am very happy with the quality but in retrospect I would have changed a few design elements.

If you have more than 20 cabinets it's a fair price.

Kraftmaid has about 25 Price Groups. Ask what # your doorstyle selection is. If it's over 10, it'll be more expensive. Groups 1-10 will get you a nice looking kitchen...there are some doors in the lower groups. Have them price the PB series with Plywood Ends on the exposed areas only. That should help the price!

National average for a a kitchen redo with no structural is 81K. Cabinets are about 1/3 of the overall costs.
