Treasure of the Southwest, only 2 fans ans 1 scape each. NOT quite the same height, or even color. This daylily seems to be struggling. It looks very health, but adds a fan, loses one.

Honky Tonk Barbie

Chip off the Old Block. I love this one, blooms a lot. Not the best picture, it has clusters of blooms, but not close. It's bad point, it multiplies like wildfire.

Entwined in the Vine in front with Lavender Cascades behind. Entwined is doing some kind of weird extra growth of some flowers in the midriff. These were fine today.

Nancy, I think lots of them are doing wonky stuff in this heat. Morticia may not be doing well but is certainly a pretty bloom. EITV seems to be doing well for you. Sweet Isabela is always pretty.

TSweet Isaabella is especially pretty and Chip Off The Old Block is a grower. Honky Tonk Barbie is a pretty pink. and Entwined in theVine is beginning to p"party up and give you the first sign of clumping. Very good, Nancy.

I think you said it was 97 for you all, and these daylillies are looking really good considering.............. Chip Off the Old Block is a pretty one, but in my pot culture a fast multiplier is not an asset................. I've always liked my Honky Tonk Barbie. A good grower and usually repeats. It's blooming now, but I haven't gotten around to taking a picture of it yet. Yours looks much like mine does, so I'll admire your picture of it for now..........I like this batch of daylilies a lot. I a tend to put my newer, favorites by my front sidewalk. Sadly, W. Chip off the Old Block must move this fall. Chip has outgrown his space in his 3rd year. Means some shifting of other plants to make room. Someone needs to hybridize for plants that grow quickly to the size clump I like, then they stop growing. LOL!

Kate, Morticia is pretty, but I have had it years, I think I have 3 fans. If it had more buds, I might keep it anyway. I have several similar looking ones though that do much better. Still, I may give it another year.

Kay, Sweet Isabella is a great one. I have gotten bad about paying attention to height. So often they end up taller or shorter than expected, Isabela is way taller and too close to the front. Another fast grower too. Not quite outgrown her spot yet, but only her 2nd year and has 7 scapes.

Maryl, you are cause of my getting Honky Tonk Barbie! I love it, it did rebloom last year. And it is doing well.

W. Chip Off the Old Block is my favorite. It's a pretty bloom, and I like that it multiplies like bunnies. Morticia didn't do well here either. It stayed at four fans for year, hardly bloomed, and finally died - likely the victim of many hungry grubs. Soli Deo Gloria looks pretty there. Mine didn't fare well in a pot, and it isn't doing any better in the ground. It's been the biggest disappointment of any Emmerich I've grown.

A Chip Off the Ol' Block has an interesting color. I wonder about its substance and whether it opens flat.

Debra, so far I am not disappointed in it. The flowers have a few splotches, not bad and improve with each flower. It has close to the expected bud count. It rebloomed last year. It does not multiply fast. 2020 was its 1st year, I got it in spring. 2022 it added 2 new fans, then they disappeared. One reappeared in fall, so I still only have 3 fans.

I don't really mind a daylily that multiplies quickly unless it has that giant foliage that shades out everything else. Shading out the weeds is fine, but sometimes a monster will shade out its fellow daylilies. We have a habit of not being careful about where we plant daylilies so we have a monster like Unstoppable planted next to Brookwood Black Kitten. The poor kitten doesn't have a chance.

I always seem to plant them in the wrong place like that. Some plants should come with a warning. And actually, I was warned , LOL. I love a plant gets to be a clump soon, and those big clumps are really showy. This is planted along my sidewalk next to shorter plants that are overshadowed by iy. It is going nearby, but behind the shoter plants.
