I was interested to see your chaste tree. Mine was actually a tree for the last several years, now looks like a shrub like yours. Mine hasnt bloomed yet. Loved your pics!

Barrheadless, thank you! My Chaste tree blooms a lot, almost the entire summer. It's 3 years old now and it's still growing but mine always looked more shrub like. It began to bloom in the second year. I bought it in a 5 gallon container. If the size you bought yours in was smaller it could take longer to develop,, either way it should take off! I bought a crepe myrtle in a 2 gallon and it took many years for it to come into itself!

Marigold: My chaste tree was a gift and was pretty small, but last year it was a ” tree” at least 4 feet tall. It is about 4 years old. This winter it died virtually to the ground. I cut all the dead stuff off. Now it a shrub about 3 feet tall, hasnt bloomed yet. I am in southeastern MA, zone 6.

That could be part of the problem Barrheadlass especially in a cold climate and with die back... I'm in NY zone 7. Mine arrived about 4 feet tall and had a root pouch to help it get established. I also bought fertilizer that should be applied in the spring. I hope yours will eventually take off, when they do they're good bloomers for summer color but look good as a stand alone bush or tree.

Mine has bloomed beautifully the last two years. I am expecting it to bloom this year. When i got it, it was less than a foot tall
