I sure hope you love cleaning all of that every time you shower I am sorry but these wet rooms are IMO the stupidest thing ever even the towels get wet every time rethink this idea for sure and for thickness of glass you ask the glass company

You will prob need 1/2 just because the span is so large.

before you commit to glass, use the shower w/o doors. try. water might not spray out. (and if it does right there in front, do a fixed panel.

I have a large shower about 4' wide. No doors. I do have a small half wall up in front.

water never even passes past that wall. doesn't reach the back wall. its not like you have a rain head shower on the ceiling. all that glass, pain to clean

do the one fixed panel at about 30" or so. leave the rest open. You can always add glass later if you find you don't like it. just try it w/o for a bit

Is the glass company willing to hang the door from such a large glass panel? Mine would insist on a header or support bar, that is going to flex. Surely 1/2" and you may want to look at low iron glass

I would be tempted to have a fixed glass panel on the vanity side only- the above is my guest room and it is fine- no issues with water coming out. Low iron glass btw

Definitely 1/2" for the sidelites or fixed panels, you may get away with 3/8" for the door.
