I had new exterior patio doors installed and all the trim/casing was replaced around the doors. Now, the bottom of the door looks like this (see photo) and IMO it looks really bad. It didn’t look like this before, with our previous door. It was much cleaner looking but I don’t know what it was or what to call it but there was some kind of trim at the bottom of the door that blended more with the baseboards. I paid a contractor and finish carpenter for this work and I want to ask them to fix it. What is this called? What is missing from the bottom of the door??
