You vary the size of the pull with the size of the door or drawer. That is why the manufacturers make different sizes of pulls. If you didn't have different sizes, you'd have small pulls look puny on larger doors/drawers, and large pulls look too big on smaller doors/drawers.

For drawers, the rough rule of thumb is 1/3 the width of the drawer. For doors, it is best to make aluminum foil templates of the pull sizes you are considering, and hold them up to the doors, before you spend a bunch of money on the actual pulls.

I used 3 different size pulls in my kitchen (6 yrs. ago) and I'm very happy with how it looks.

@M Miller The hardware I have im not too crazy about but I don't have the time or luxury of ordering different styles online right now so my question is if I really hate them can I switch them out just as long as it's the same size they are drilling correct?
