Another curious thing on my cucumber leaf........

Today I was checking for bad bugs on my cucumber plants. I found this ?caterpillar?. I touched it and it moved, so I knew it wasn't something like bird poop. ;) I've looked up a lot of caterpillars, and nothing looks like this. It was about an inch long and 1/8" wide. .Any ideas?
I swear, my cucumbers are really popular this year......but to the wrong crowd...........
Any guesses?
