What to do after bacterial speck?

I had tomato plants with bacterial speck. I have removed them. Can anyone tell me what to do to the soil in my garden after removing the plants? Covering it in plastic is not an option. Do I need to spray anything? If I plant pumpkins there in the future, will the contract the bacterial speck from the soil or only other tomato plants?

It will be fine to grow pumpkins there next season. The soil will be ok if you remove all the tomato debris from the diseased plants.

I had one tomato plant with Bacterial Speck one year. Pretty sure that it was seed-borne. I planted a tomato in the same spot the following year and everything was healthy. Tomato Speck has not returned to my garden after several years have gone by.
