@fnmroberts Yes, if that option is more practical. We were considering a built in grill, but find that most of the built-ins have features that are more than what we need or want to spend. I wasn't sure if weather, safety, etc are factors to consider for installing above ground.

Safety is a HUGE factor considering what I imagine you’re asking - trip hazard and weather for sure. You won’t want a rubber hose left exposed or connected while not in use.

A picture may be helpful. My gas exits the house then runs under the pavers to the grill.
