Reading the info - yes. The Upper is a convection and the lower is not.

The only problem I have with my Jen aire double oven is the bottom door opens all the way down to the floor. I use the small top oven often. I use the bottom for my main meat dishes.

This is the first time I've shopped for ovens ... Being able to cook at two different temperatures seems like a great idea. I've heard the downside is that you have to bend over so much to use the bottom drawer but it seems like it would be worth it.

If you don't have room for a double wall oven, this is a good option.

You do have to bend over to use the bottom oven, but you also have to bend over to use the drawer that is in single ovens. Also, on most brands, the oven shelves pull out to make reaching easier. I love my double oven, an as Debbie mentioned, use the small oven 3:1 over the big one. The small one heats faster, too.

wow, that Flex Duo looks great!! .. my husband is hung up on a gas range ... but I really love the flex duo ... Iv never had an electric range but as Im shopping around I see many more electric ranges being offered then gas .....

I wonder why they dont offer the Flex Duo in a slide in ...

I hate to say your husband is right, but if you cook at all, gas is WAY better than electric. I think people have electric when they don't have a gas connection into the house, or are renting and have no options.

... I wonder then why the Flex Duo only comes in electric :( dang it .. its (almost) perfect! ... and the search continues ....

2 Features I've never heard of: Chicken Nugget and Sabbath Modes! I wonder what these are.

I guess the chicken Nugget setting is like the popcorn setting on the microwave. lol The Sabbath mode I believe is for religious jews meaning the temp of the oven will stay on for extended period of time. The oven light and any digital displays will turn off until the Sabbath is over.

I have the same exact ge oven and we all love it. The gas burners are awesome, high grade ceramic and very durable - my kids also cook all of the time.

Only one oven is convection, controlled by the digital display, while the upper oven is controlled by a knob. They both work particularly well an it's quite easy to adjust the actual knobs if you find variance in temps

Ge service is also amazing - I complained about a hinge on the upper door and the guy was at my house within five days from ge to take it all apart, inspect and adjust

It also looks great, and we have made ample use of the double ovens - sometimes having one double as a warmer during large meals

Yes, you have to bend down for the lower oven, but the slide out rack is high grade and we haven't complained yet - but ask me again when I'm 80 ;)

Btw, because the burners can go so high - front right is a monster and can boil water in two minutes - we also upgraded our oven hood to 700cfm to catch the bacon that my kids sometimes burn to a crisp

I just bought this yesterday, after tons of research & reading. Maybe it's the area or your specific repairman, but around here (eastern MA) GE has a rep for terrible service. YMMV -- online some people love it, and I think you can see complaints about anything.

I have read a lot of negative reviews about this range being a bear to bake with and control the temperature in the top oven. Any owners out there, should I buy one?
