The house is just under 1000 Sq ft, this is the main/only LR. Definitely would like a tv, just not over fireplace. Family of 4, would like to be able to accommodate guests, which could range in #s from 2-4. Thank you so much for the help. Hearth extends out 23”. I was thinking of that wall for TV, thx for photo example.

Using the fireplace as the starting point for the t v/fireplace dual focal points, you might want to consider a large sectional.

Again the entry end of the room could have a couple of chairs, lamps for reading, chatting...with a smaller matching rug. I think sisal look would be fun.
