Where do you live? Sunny climate? Which direction does the house face?

The house faces north although the east side of the home faces a somewhat busy street and gets all the morning sun (when there is sun here in the PNW :) ...

I have no idea how this translates to SW paints, but we are working with BM colors and looked at similar shades, and learned that some of their yellow and red pigments fade quickly in UV light, so colors that include those aren't great to use outside because they change. I imagine there is a similar rule of thumb for Sherwin-Williams. We learned which pigments to ask about and the paint store would run the formulas and tell us which included those and which didn't. Some of the aqua/teal colors did and others didn't. Might be worth looking into to see if the same applies to SW colors. I love the color otherwise!

That color won't look the same on a home that doesn't have the heavy contrast of the white trim.

Did you go with SW Aqua-sphere? I am looking at doing my exterior with that paint color with pure white trim and bronze light fixtures. The house will have a bronze metal awning on the front porch too

We did (actually Interesting Aqua, but I think they're very similar, if not the same). We chose Pure White for the trim as well. The color changes depending on the light, I really think it's a beautiful color. We picked black for the accent color (door, light fixture, mailbox) and I think bronze would look lovely, too!

Thanks for sharing. My current house has blue arrow which was a Valspar paint. My house however has a brick front so I only see the color on the sides and in the back. It is very similar to Aqua-sphere. I love it so much I have used the same color every time it needed painting. It is a timeless color for me which makes me love my house forever.

Hi I was wondering if you have a picture of your home painted with Interesting Aqua. We are in the process of selecting a color for our beach home. I was concerned with Interesting Aqua because the sample paints more grey than blue.

Hello! Here is a shot of the front (just after I painted the front door, hence the painter’s tape 😁). We went with SW Interesting Aqua for body and Pure White for trim (the door is Bunglehouse Blue). I feel the same way as Kimberly Rodgers, it’s definitely a feel good color for me. It does change a bit depending on the light, just fyi, but I like all of the variations. Good luck!

Michelle, I had not looked at Interesting Aqua. a long time ago, maybe 18 years, I purchased some paint at lowes called Blue Arrow and loved it. I in fact painted my house three times that colored when it came time to build I knew I wanted to use Sherwin Williams paint and that is when I found Aqua-Sphere. All three colors are almost identical (Interesting Aqua, Aqua Aqua-sphere, and Blue Arrow) colors gathered online

I just realized that there are 2 Kimberlys in this post, ;) - and you both are talking about painting your house blue. Actually not sure if you are both Kimberly. Kporter do you have any other pictures of the house besides that one? I was concerned that the blue was more grey as that is how it appears when I painted a sample. I love the blue bungalow door.

Here is one in early morning. Were you able to paint a large sample? I found some 20" x 30" foam boards at the dollar store and it really helped to move it around outside the house at different times of day. If it's really grey outside the color is more muted, but it's never looked grey to me. Thank you for the comment on the blue door!

I did a virtual consultation and the women had mentioned doing the foam boards. She is the one who recommened this color. She also recommended pure white for the trim.

Please paint the storm door the same color as the front door. The aqua blues are lovely.😊
