drywall in fabricated wood floors

Homebuilder refused to cover floors during construction and it seems like the drywall and paint won’t come out. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to clean? The flooring is by naturally aged flooring. The manufacturer said likely any way we might clean would be too abrasive.

Please tell us more about your build.

Is this a truly custom home where you pick every little detail? If so, you might have leverage.

Is this a house where the builder makes most of the decisions, but you get to pick some of the finishes? You will purchase the house from the builder when it is complete?

If it is the second option, the builder may just ignore you. Even if you get mad enough to not buy the house, he'll sell it to someone else. Even the housing market has cooled off a little lately, it is still slightly a seller's market, so the builder will have no problem finding another buyer.
