What does it mean, the cabinets were "enameled"?

Sounds great - my Kohler bathroom vanity in white, the paint is chipping off the drawers - how do you enamel cabinets? I'm assuming the finish is more durable? Thanks so much.

    I’m sure the suggestion means using enamel paint. Proper preparation/stripping/sanding of cabinetry allows a good-looking and long-lasting enamel finish. I only use a professional painter. Ask several friends for painting contractor recommendations.
