I am looking for feedback on door and window brands and quality that we should consider. We are building in Santa Barbara, CA.

1.] Are on the hilltop with gusty winds.

2.] We will be off grid so energy efficiency is important.

3.] Products need to be Title 24 compliant

4.] Are in high fire risk area

Given the factors mentioned above:

1.] What material and companies should we consider and which framing would be preferable Aluminum, wood clad, composite, vinyl?

2.] Can anybody recommend a good dealer/installer for windows in the area?

3.] Also looking for feedback on bi-fold doors. Can these be made of composite material and will this withstand the winds?

4.] Does the zipcode matter when dealer quotes for products? It seems to me that it does but I wanted some opinions on this as well.
