Where is the recessed lighting now, that could be an easy fix without "changing" the placement.

I would do an interesting shape And maybe a more solid cabinet to anchor it.

I’m not sure of your decor style, from what little I can see maybe rustic mixed with traditional? And I don’t know budget or exact dimensions.

@RL Relocation LLC thank you. I won’t move the recessed lighting, just sei g if I can get an angled spot/flood to light the stone wall. I was thinking of a long rectangle but now you have me thinking! ☺️

The stone wall is truly beautiful. If i were coming in to the room, I would not want a mirror to be the first thing I would see. The soft lighting highlights the stone very well, but another lamp would also be good. You might like a small piece of fabric art to hang on the stone wall, but I would not want to cover up too much of the stone. It's a lovely room.

the only issue i see is that you might end up with the light reflecting into the mirror if you aim it there. I was thinking you could mount a battery opp. sconce above the stone maybe.

can you post a picture with nothing in front of the stone?

While there are many beautiful mirror and lamp suggestions here, I'm sorta with @heather483. I don't know if I'd like walking straight into a mirror. Might tend to focus attention on one's reflection instead of taking in the beautiful wall. Perhaps one of the nice recommended lamps and a subtle hanging artwork?
