This strikes me as a very peculiar idea. Not only will the lights look odd hanging from the ceiling, they'll be useless for, say, reading in bed or even illuminating the room as they shine only downward. I think no height is best.

I need to see what the whole room looks like those look like a bad choice but then so does the ceiling light look like it gves off no real light. IMO a bedroom needs 2 kinds of lighting one that lights up the whole space for cleaning and then lighting to serve the bed for reading or just a nice look at night. Post a pic of the whole space then we get a feel for what you are trying to do.

Love the unique furnishings of your room. I see what you are going for, however you might want to think about if your beautiful lights will be lost against your equally beautiful bed posts.

Thank you, all for your time and thoughts. Are you against this idea because of improper lighting? The glass is translucent. Also, the current mattress will be replaced with a larger one so the lamps will be in front of the white wall not the headboard.

If you want to be able to read in bed and use the light, we might suggest sitting in the bed and seeing where the light would work best for you to be able to read. It might be around head or shoulder height.
