I have coretec and it doesn’t hurt my feet at all. One thing I’ll mention is that yes, lvp is technically waterproof but if water does seep underneath it, it will get moldy and have to be torn out. It happened in my laundry room (still haven’t replaced it with anything) a few months ago and I’m praying I don’t have any leaks in my kitchen ever.

I have LVP that is very waterproof for water on top it is the type than has a edge that glues to the next strip we used dri core under neth it in our walkout it is 15 yrs old . We have 3 huge dogs that track in mud , snow and no issues They have free run to huge dog run so can get pretty wet sometime a. It is Allure from HD and we are just in the process of buying a difernet house and will do LVP this was the old school type but has served us well.

I have Coretec (Noce travertine) and it is very easy on the feet as well as extremely durable. We have had 100-pound dogs and wet/muddy boots all over it, and it withstands all of that well. I can't speak to the other brand.

If you heard that Coretec lifts up, I suspect that "lifting up" is a sign of an uneven subfloor. The installation instructions include a standard for variation in floor height. My contractor did use a LOT of leveling compound in my old house to get the subfloor (mostly) level before installation.

@ salex You made a very good point. There is saying in flooring business: " Your floating floor is just as good as your subfloor(levelness)."
