For sure! to the left is the front door, and on the right behind the fireplace is an office/den.

I think you need to relocate the wine cabinet. It looks like it is half under the cutout? Could you move it down towards the TV? That would fill in that side of the room to balance the visual weight of the fireplace.

Your space looks fabulous but it appears that it has two different focal points, the fireplace, and the tv wall. I think before you go through the trouble of installing wood paneling or doing anything else you need to make sure that this is the setup you are happy with because after the modifications they will compete with each other even more than they do currently.

Put some artwork on the other wall. Add a console under the TV and possibly add another lamp.

Or all the way just TV unit ( or 2-3 similar ones) with décor.

I mention this product quite often! Consider a Samsung The Frame TV and add other art around it. The large "art" is the TV. You can get a subscription if you want a large selection of art to look at or you can just display your own photos.

Here is my 75" with an Alfred Sisley (1884) painting displayed. The built-in is still being worked on and the doors are missing. Still need to get the frame for the TV and deciding between the thin one that Samsung sells or going with an after-market one that would be wider. You can change the size of the art and change the color of the mat.

Paint the wall a dark color.

This is what we did with pictures surrounding the TV.

Hide the cords either in the wall (with some minor modifiaction you can DIY) or use a cord concealor painted the color of the wall. Add a wide console (wood tone, black,or black and white) to use as storage and add visual interest. You can style this w/ baskets, wooden objects, plants, and other decorative items if desired. I think your room is very lovely!

If you do decide to use wood look paneling, I would suggest laminate installed horizontally instead. You can get samples to be sure everything works well together. You could do all the other walls in laminate to compliment that fireplace, that would achieve a rustic and more balanced look for the room.

I would start by lowering the TV onto a long console, it looks like it is floating and not grounded.

Definitely put a console/cabinet under the television to ground the space. Then, you could do floating shelves or artwork on each side of the tv.

Hi there, I had the same problem with my space, so I added a large console, wall sconces and wainscoting, and now it gone from cold to welcoming.

If you can create a small seating area separate for your fireplace (which is a beautiful focal point) it will allow the TV area to be its own focal point e.g. wingback chairs or a cosy ottoman. You could move the TV slightly less central on the wall away from the fireplace. Move one of your couches against the wall near the entrance and possibly (if enough space) move your wine cabinet behind your couch facing the TV. Artwork, photos or floating shelves next to the TV (like some of the suggestions made previously above) and a low TV unit or cradenza underneath the TV. Using the pale grey colour of your fireplace for shelves or photoframes...

It's a lovely room with lots of potential. I would paint the TV wall in a calm, deep accent color. Like a subtle taupe gray to compliment the fireplace and the couch. Add a long console table under the tv in a warm wood tone. (Tall enough to hide wires and give a focal point and wide enough to add thin accent lamps or tall candle sticks or vases.) Move the plant to the left corner. Center the wine rack on its current wall on the section away from the cut out. Find a unique mirror to hang over the wine rack to add depth to the room. (Like a window would.) Find matching pieces of large artwork and hang on either side of the TV - spaced just a few inches past the corners of the large console.. You can place the lamp to the left of the wine rack for added light in that space. A warm wood tone mantle will also add warmth to your room. Good luck! So this is a room on your main floor by the front door - with no windows? That seems very odd. Well given what I can see - the first thing is that the room is very messy and cluttered and needs to be cleaned up. Then since there seems to be no sign of nature except the (fake?) tiny tree, perhaps a large nature wallpaper mural along one wall.
