What goes with bottle blue tiles?

We’d like to give this kitchen in our new home a facelift - painting cabinets and walls and keeping the bottle blue tiles which we really like. Excuse the messy counter tops please!
What colours would you go with? If we could change the countertops from black I think that would be easier but they’re in good condition so no need.
Not averse to laying lino over the laminate if it will go on flat (need to investigate!)
Ideas so far…
Black bottom cabinets on the bottom then a pale neutral (white, cream, pink) on the top ones and walls. That’s pretty safe and I’d rather not play it safe! Feels like an opportunity to be brave as eventually kitchen will be replaced (in 5-10 years).
Ideally I’d love to get a stronger pink or terracotta on the cabinets / wall to contrast with the blue - but not sure how will work with the black.
Black bottom cabinets, terracotta top cabinets / walls? Or is that too much to have essentially three stripes of colour?
Any ideas and colour combos welcome!

It’s a lovely kitchen. But I find blue such a tricky colour to use - especially a bold, saturated blue like your tiles. Having said that I love that blue. I can understand your suggestion of warmer colours but do you absolutely love terracotta? Again, it’s not an easy colour to get right. If you’re going to live with the ‘new’ kitchen for 5-10 years, it may be worth changing the work surface or even the tiles, to give you a blank(er) canvas to start from? Or maybe this is one time when hiring a colour specialist would help save money in the longer term? Good luck - keep us posted 👍🏼

I know it sounds dull, but blue and white always go well together, then look for a Moroccan pattern tile effect floor. I’d change the kitchen door to a pattern 10 glass door too, it could be painted blue or white

I would suggest a teal/turquoise palette will go well with blue tiles and give you some oomph!

I wouldn’t have different coloured units, it wouldn’t unify the look at all. I would paint the units blue or off white, then that will give you more room to add a bright colour on the walls if you wish. You obviously like colour, so maybe go down the Spanish/Mexican route by adding yellow on the walls? Terracotta would go too on the walls but try to use a more pinky tone as some can be very brown and dull. You can either choose a soft lemon or a brighter yellow like F&B India Yellow. Yellow looks great with blue. As to the flooring, laminate is too wobbly for vinyl and it can make it crease or split over time. It does need a good sturdy base.
