The pics we drool over and dream about their spa feel don't seem to have anyone living in them as there is never anything not positioned perfectly nor everyday items such as rubbish bins! Yes, we all want a spa but life usually means things are out. A suggestion would be to have a clean out. See if you can make a space for a door mounted rubbish bin (like a kitchen one).  I see two cupboard units for storage, would one full height one free up space?

If it were me i would remove one of the cabinets to open up the space and paint the walls a pale fresh green like BM Healing Aloe - change rugs to bright white cotton mats. if you’re game you can decant soaps etc into matching bottles via the site Polished Jar -

I think keeping to a tight color palette and purging clutter help to create a serene space but it can take a lot of patience to maintain (i think finding another spot to plug in the toothbrushes would go a long way in helping the smaller vanity not feel so crowded - could you add an outlet by one of the cabinets?)

Agree with cooler paint as recommended. Paint vanity white. Replace one cabinet with a taller one for more storage. Eliminate the second cabinet and Install large towel hooks. Move the towel self over those hooks. Add artwork over the toilet. The wood/glass item on the wall may work better elsewhere. trash under the sink. Replace light fixture over mirror, which feels very industrial. A battery operated toothbrush will allow you to put it in the medicine cabinet instead of the sink edge.

To me the shower curtain looks more boho than spa, but if you love it, keep it. For me, the spa look in bathrooms is for pictures in magazines, a little sterile, and not practical for the everyday. But only keeping what you really need and being organized is good, and reducing clutter usually reduces stress.

Declutter! Eliminate the beige and change everything else to white (except the floor). Paint your vanity & walls white. Get rid of the two floor cabinets and purchase one or two long white vertical floating cabinet from IKEA (or online) and hang them on the wall opposite your vanity. This should give you lots of storage. Accessorize with aqua towels, etc.. Find a white waffle type shower curtain, chrome shower rings then throw a large white bathroom mat on the floor.

A few ideas to give your bathroom a SPA calm look... Decluttering is a big part of the SPA look, replace your dark accessories with white or light beige ones (your sink & toilet look beige in the photos). I would replace the 2 cabinets with one tall cabinet (placed perhaps on the right next to the bathtub), and if you have space, a ladder instead of towel bars also give that SPA feel to the room. I also show a 24 x 60 bathmat instead of 2 separate mats, it make the space seem larger.

The SPA blue accessories brings in some colour to the room...

If you're going to keep that shower curtain then get the garbage can to match.

From Ikea, I'm assuming you're in the US, see the link below:https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/enhet-storage-combination-white-white-frame-s19444337/

Alisa, when seeking help it’s important to give more info at the onset…..What is your goal? What EXACTLY do you want help with? What does a “spa bathroom” look like to you? And if you are indeed renting, that would be important to mention at the top.

As a renter, what can and can't you change? Can you swap light fixtures, can you remove wall shelves? Give us a better idea. The very best thing to do -- and free - is to declutter.

Move the trash under the sink, clear the stuff of of the top of your mirror. Fold the bathmat on the edge of the tub and hide it behind the shower curtain, take the vase thing off your wall. Declutter your countertop.

Do you have room to store the black towels elsewhere in your home? If so put one white one per shelf. Do you ever really fill that entire glass jar with whatever is in it? Get rid of it or get a small jar if you can.

Go through all of your belongings in each one of the these cabinets. Ask how many bottles of X you really need. If you haven't used something in 6 months, pitch it. Do all that, they take a pic and post it in the comments secion. Then we can give you some good feedback on what to do next.

We might recommend removing the shelves and the other things on the walls. We might suggest looking into a new light fixture, white rugs, a piece of art over the toilet, and a larger, taller cabinet for storage if you need it.
