It was my daughter's bedroom suite when she was young. I think it is kind of whimsical and that's why I like it. It will be used for my grandchildren when they visit. I had intended to keep the furniture. Thank you for your interest in helping me.

would a big sisal rug extending out from the bed work? that neutral tone won't compete w/ the colors of the quilt and furniture.

@Donna Sikes Paint the furniture a clean white with gold handles. Add a natural wood toned picture above the bed, two beige lamps on the nightstands and a gold decorative mirror above the dresser. For the rug a darker brown with a pattern would look lovely. Here is a 3d rendering i made
