Ceiling Paint???

We have a painter scheduled to come tomorrow to paint our ceiling. He recommended flat paint. But, part of the ceiling is in the kitchen, so I am hesitant. He said there is a special Behr paint that would work well. Currently the kitchen is slightly glossy, and then before it hits the hallway, the paint changes to flat. What are your thoughts?

Go flat all over that ceiling.

I would stay with one finish throughout and use flat. Talk to your painter and your local paint store about your concerns, I'm sure they can come up with a good solution.

Thank you both. The painter had to reschedule so I have a bit more time, but it sounds like flat in the kitchen would work.
