Weird garage water leaking issue - no window above it

Dear all, thanks for reading this thread...

Here is a photo of our garage. We live in San Francisco and the house was built in 1935. Somehow due to the heavy rain last night, the water was coming in with that specific area. The wood above and below that area was fine. We caulked all the windows above it and checked with the roof, no sign of leaking or gaps. The exterior wall was OK as well. Any idea what might have caused such water leak? Thanks!

Not from the inside. Post up pics from the exterior.

Water infiltration can be problematic to find. It is often said that water does not run uphill but that is false; it does when backed by the wind. In that situation, wind-driven rain can pour in places it normally does not. Finding how it is coming in can be a problem.

I had problems with leaks through my chimney and into the LR. It only happened during intense and windy rain. I had the chimney person check the flashing and had a copper top installed. No problem since then (after several years). I'm in Va.
