What do your countertop and flooring look like???

Countertops will be White Quartz (Calacatta Laza).

I never like real next to fake So neither . But then I would not do fake plastic stone for a counter .

You really need to show these tiles with the counter as mixing whites is tricky. Wait until the counters are in then post a pic of the tiles in the same position.

I think either works with the cabinets color-wise, and the size would depend on how much backsplash surface there is (if a lot, I would use the larger format tile). That said, these creamy whites are going to contrast with what looks like a frosty gray white counter. I would consider something different.

The countertop slab. My question was mostly about the size difference, the larger one definitely shows more character of the natural stone.

    Neither is my vote.

If you like the arabesque and you like the white quartz, I would at least try a darker more patterened tile... BUT I wouldn't order any tile until your counters are installed and you can get several tiles together to see how they work in your space.

Do not make a decision until your counters are in. Slabs always look quite different when viewed horizontally and depending on the lighting of your kitchen.

    Agree with counters in first.

Thank you everyone, this is all really good advice! Counters go in next week, will post another photo then.

What I see of the cabinet color I like. Consider using the countertop quartz for the backsplash.

I agree with Patricia that putting real marble next to faux marble will look "off". If you like the arabesque shape, do it in ceramic, not stone.

    Two options with countertops

I would tape the tile where it's going, sometimes they read very differently when placed vertically.

I use Alcolin Quake Putty to stick sample tiles up on the wall. You can buy on Amazon.

I think in the desktop version you don’t see all the pictures, only the first one. I posted this one earlier.

I prefer the one on the left because it is larger and the color is better in my opinion.

I prefer the larger one. But I wonder, between the marble veining and the arabesque shape, that is just too much pattern going on?

    I like the larger size.

does it have to be that exact tile shape?

I think this arabesque (not marble) might look nice w/your countertop

I don't care for the dark grout w/this version. (and I think the arabesque size is too small)

similar quartz. Gray arabesque tile. slightly larger size.

have you looked at the Star and Cross?

here's what it looks like in a soft sage color. (Fireclay tile has these in virtually any color)

or something like this version of it? this is really pretty. enlarge it

you might try reading this post. same dilemma

The grey arabesque tile really pops your cabinets, appliances and counters. Great look!
