Not sure how many square feet you need to do but, most water base poly in the right drying condtions can be walked on after a few hours of good drying. If, it is a large job, it is going to require up to a few or several days to complete. Small projects, 200 square feet and under can be completed in a 16-20 hour period.

If, you use a hard wax oil system or any type of wax or penetrating oil system. The finish needs to be fully cured before you walk on it to prevent smudges and foot prints. Cure time can take up to a week for most oil and wax products.
