Your mirror is too small for that location. I like your first choice of chandelier or Beverly's choices without shades.

Lose the mirror for some substantial art , its too small for the space.

Get a very linear fixture.....

Why not consider oiled bronze or black with your furnishing?

IMO if bright is the plan none of the ones posted will help. I think a good chandeleir lights the table not the ceiling and all candelabra bulbs are usully not LED 4000K which IMO is what you want for bright on a dimmer. I agree no crystal and no Edison bulbs . I aslo agree the mirror replaced with a big piece of art would be a much nicer look.BTW I wear jeans and black patent heels often. I would like to know what style you love and IMO start with that for a chandelier .I think the space is no style right now and I see some great ideas in your idea books. If this space i not open to other spaces it can be a bit of a star by itself.

Definetly no crystal chamdelier with that table. If you want to keep the mirror. Maybe paint it and balanvw the wall with other pieces on either side? Sconces or smaller art?

What about this one ? A mix of black n gold ? Will that go with my brown dining table ? I’m liking the gold decor that is trend these days n want to see if I can use it in this room . In which case I paint the mirror black n move it to the opposite wall .. vertical it is looking very big on the side wall

I guess if lighting the ceiling and using yellow hued lighting is your style thn go for it. I acually really dislike that fixture and it seems everyone get them . Is farmhouse thelook you are going for? I think those chairs could go many design direstions so make up your mind about what one you want to go for.

Yes I do like the farmhouse McGee type of look .. but not sure it will go with the current furniture I gave .. I was thinking of changing the bulbs to be white (transparent ) light bulbs

That will give you the worst lighting ever, not bright, very yellow and really lacks any elegance. yes you can have crystal, nothing wrong with that. as to the mirror, you can do better with a nice peice of artwork.

To the OP....

Do you need to do paper work at this table? Please clarify for us, how you are using it. Dining is a subtly light situation, not to be confused with the cafeteria in a middle school .

Do you need light pointing down on the table for homework, morning coffee, tax prep? Tell us.

In that case you buy a fixture with shades, to point the light down onto the table surface, rather than dispersing across the room.

If you have room for a shallow depth console beneath art where the mirror is now? Add two table LAMPS! Still need more? Augment with recessed near the window end of the room.

But I will take the liberty of speaking for many: Not all rooms need, nor should be lit via cold , austere, 4000k led lights.

I would be not be likely to suggest you get some of my lovely soft pink sixty watt bulbs for a morgue or surgical center, but I will spare two for your bedroom : )

Be vary wary of single solution answers to multi faceted issues. Rarely will there be ONE answer.

4lk is hospital lighting, no one wants to eat dinner in an surgical room. Light is one thing, you want it to be inviting not sterile.

Nobody needs that much light to see FOOD

You add votives!! , candles.....

All of which can be fireproof, and led, You want the room to glow. It's not a surgically lit picnic, right : ) Try a little romance and ambience!
