Help Identify this Japanese Maple

I just bought a 7 feet tall Japanese Maple. It’s upright. Has green branches. Has already leafed out here in New Jersey. Very small green palmate leaves red edges. The nursery guy told me it’s a sango kaku. Obviously it’s not sango kaku as the branches are green and not the coral red.

idk... about the maple..

why are they all planted on berms??.. do yo have a clay soil issue???

Very difficult to ID a JM at this stage of development. In fact, JM authorities are reluctant to offer specific ID's even when more details are known due to the vast number of cultivars on the market and how similarly many of them look. The Maples forum is full of requests like this but with the exception of some cultivars with very distinctive characteristics, few are positively ID'd as to cultivar.

Does it have a graft? If not, it could very well be grown from a seedling, in which case there is NO cultivar ID - it is just an Acer palmatum.
