Its flowers are HEAVILY scented as are the new growth tips, peduncles, ovaries and sepals. They possess a scent quite similar to those of the Grandmother's Hat clan. The foliage and new growth actually have a resemblance to GH. I don't know how, but I know there are shared genes in there somewhere. I have to compliment you on the saturation of colors your photography expresses since your new camera teamed up with your new vision! It's gorgeous!

It looks so lovely draping down that hill, framed by all of the Spring green grass and other new growth evidence of our recent rainy Winter, with those trees as a background - you are a real artist.
