I would do a clear seedy glass three and put recessed between them for when you need working light. hang them over the bar.

your PotteryBarn choice is too bright for a bar.

Bare Bulb fixtures are not pleasing. I would choose a cone shaped fixture. down lighting, you already have can lights, so don't need that much more light on the bar top. why not something with a color interest, more art glass than bright light?

There is no such thing as a bright edison bulb. So no they are not too bright. I think size is the real issue. Im not a huge fan of clear glass ( hence the seedy reco.), Here is what I would do so you can get a better idea of scale. Two options, get some balloons and blow them up to the apx. size and hang them with some string, or cut out the size with some cardboard or paper and hang them up with some string and blue tape, it will help you a lot.

What is the distance between the counter and the ceiling?

ideally you want them about 30 inches of the counter top, so if you go too large you will not have enough stem. see to me this looks silly,

I would probably skip the pendants and keep the space open and airy. Do 3" recessed lights along the bar area, on dimmers.

Not a fan of hanging visual clutter, specially if you have some outdoor views from that dark interior/enclosed kitchen.

I like your original choice from Pottery Barn. I got these similar, more rounded ones for my kitchen, and they appear to have a larger bulb than the tapered Edisons. But they are on a dimmer, so soft light, or nice and bright, and don’t cause a glare. A lot of people advised me against clear glass, but I haven’t had any problems at all
