We had an Arrowlift home elevator lift installed in our home. The lift goes between the kitchen which has porcelain tile flooring and the bedroom below. They left us with a board that "floats" above the elevator when it is parked upstairs and then parks on the kitchen floor when the elevator is downstairs in the bedroom. Does anyone have experience working with tile in this situation? We are concerned with finishing the edges where the tile meets, not wanting it to chip over the years. Has anyone used tile in this application and have any pointers for us? Thank you!
