Neolith is more liking to crack then other counter materials- be aware.

so 12mm or 3cm with mitered edge has same ? we will us it on island with sink... so that's one concern.,..

Does the pattern/color go all the way through the material? That’s often why the mitered edge is used (because the pattern/color is only on surface).

we have many veins.. it's calacatta.. the reason we chose 12mm was,,our kirchen is small and we have big island,,

so we were just worried if we go 3 cm with mitered edge,, it will look heavy..and packed..and also chipped the edge when my daughter run in the kitchen.

I installed neolith in my kitchen this summer 2023, so far all is good! In general porcelain would not be my first choice anymore, since I used for my kitchen island real marble, what might give me different headache of staining and etching, but marble is something else! Still happy I tried Neolith, just to have experience with it! The biggest + of Neolith, it does not stain and I can clean it with all kind of strong cleaning products! I used ultra soft finishing, what remind me a little bit honed marble texture😊
