Aloe barbadensis (aka., A. vera) does not require all day direct sun, the green will be deeper with SOME shading. ALL OF MINE change like this once they go out (outdoor light is MUCH greater than indoors). Some will even turn bronze with a hint of red. All revert back to deep green indoors in the winter, it's not due to fertilizer, root damage, or all the other stuff mentioned in the answer above. No big deal.
