I fold clothes as I take them out of the dryer, and stack them on top of the washer and dryer before placing them back in the basket to put away. No need for a separate folding area.

It looks like you can move the dryer to the left enough to put a rod under the shelf to the right of the dryer - you can't really get to that space anyway.

Please show photos of the rest of the room. While you are thinking about changes, you could consider a clothes rod as @annk says, and see if a card table would fit temporarily between the washer and dryer. Many people simply fold clothes as they take them out of the dryer, putting them on top of the dryer before carrying them out.

The window has a lovely view. It'll be a pleasant place to do laundry.
