That color sets a tone for the total house and all your furnishings will have to complement your selection.

These colors below work nicely with SeaSalt.

Both BM and SW have a color named Sea Salt ...

SW Sea Salt looked baby blue in my north-facing LR. Broke my heart.

I have a lake house that I painted all interior walls sea salt. I would agree it changes colors in different lighting. I love it, but you have to be flexible with what you expect.

I tested SW Sea Salt and SW Copen Blue and went with the Copen Blue for most of the public rooms of my house. The Sea Salt was just flat and too cold- almost concrete looking- and that was in south facing rooms! The Copen Blue had a bit more green (but still overall comes across as blue/robin's egg in my space) which warmed it up just enough. Don't be afraid to try it- in my experience that type of color is pretty neutral and plays nicely with so many other colors and tones of wood, that I don't think you'll have trouble with it!

Hope I was also looking at Copen blue.  Are your rooms that you painted Copen blue north, south, east or west?

SW Sea Salt looked like mint toothpaste in our home. Be sure to test it before committing.

We used it throughout our entire downstairs and love it.

clt3 Thanks for all of your pictures.  You used Sea Salt, right?  I talked about other colors too.  So I just wanted to make sure.  Your house looks really beautiful with that color.

I use this color often cut 25% for a true neutral that honestly goes with everything( think nature green is the backdrop). I try to stay away from blues since they often can look like a babys room in some spaces .

Sea Salt is my favorite paint color ever. Had it in the living room of my last house. Now I live in a very open house and unless I change the countertops in the kitchen, Sea Salt is not an option. Due to @Patricia Colwell Consulting recommendation I am going to look at the Healing Aloe paint.

Thanks to everyone for all of your ideas.  What are your thoughts about Copen Blue and Rainwashed?  Could they be used throughout my downstairs?

I would recommend painting big samples in multiple locations! the blue greens are super variable. we tried several in our bedroom and ended up with sea salt. it’s very calm.

clt3 do you notice a change in color throughout the day.  Does it ever look gray?  Someone said it looked mint green when they tried it.

This is the only spot in my house where it sometimes appears slightly gray.

SW Sea Salt is a gorgeous color. Go for it. If you want it to look less beachy, then I'd go for a trim color that's more of an ivory or linen than bright white. Add some accents in dark coral and it will be stunning. If you can work in some beautiful wallpaper as bookshelf liners, that would be a great addition, too.

No, it doesn't. Some of the photos I posted go a bit mintier or more aqua, but I was merely demonstrating similar color palettes. Hard to get super specific on this site; we're only as good as the photos that have been posted.
