Who did this mess in the first place ? Where exactly is the AC ? Is this in a prtment bldg? I need more info and a pic of the space that has the AC. I would want to know why this was not in the wall so provide that info please . Answer questions and post pics in this post do not start another

Wow, that is a dilemma!

I think it depends on budget. The best, and most expensive answer, is to have a contractor put the line in the wall where it belongs. The quickest and easiest answer is, furniture. A bookshelf, a dresser and armoir. Even cheaper, a standing screen room divider.

^agree that the best solution is to bite the bullet and do it correctly but if that ship has sailed - i would probably do floor to ceiling curtains the color of the wall - mounted on a ceiling track (no rod) - FWIW that’s going to be an issue whenever it’s time to sell the house so would be nice to take care of it sooner rather than later

The compressor is outside (to the right of the pic) . The line had to be run where it is, however having it placed on as opposed to IN was a bad decision on my part.

I will look into having it moved in.

If you can afford to have it placed in the wall, that is what I would do. If you need time to save up for that, I'd temporarily hang a curtain.

You don't want to disturb the line so hanging something over it isn't ideal, and the door opening definitely would negate a bulkhead or putting furniture in front of it. The only real option I can see is having it moved to inside the wall.

If you or someone you know is creative, it might make a lovely branch on a mural wall.

You have to hang a curtain rod up and get a rod that has a big ball on it and to hide the heat pump line and a rod that goes clear across and hang heavy curtain on it and Center the dresser on the wall and just pretend it's a window but don't open it and don't push the dresser up to the pipeline

Another thing you could do is buy a very tall screen that goes clear up one of those panel screens that are decorated

Actually @Hallett&Co I have heard that option too. Do you have any idea of the price for work like that?

We have pipes and wires exposed in our basement that will drywall in someday. For now I bought a tapestry on Etsy to hide one area and used old louvered doors as a screen in another area. Everyone compliments me on how clever I am. 😁
