It looks like it. Cannot get anyone to work.

It's been a few years ago but when I ordered from them I always had good results and they had a good selection. We are getting more limited in our shopping selection, too bad.

I got that email, too. It was sad to see them go, but my order last year was completely wrong. Then, it didn't come until July. By July, we're really hot and no time to start a hosta.

They had struggle for last couple of years, and death in the family. I have ordered fom them before and had great results. Last year my order took couple of months but plants are doing well.

Location where I live is within 2 hrs of drive to Uniquely hostas, LOTG and Fox farm hostas so I consider myself blessed.

Like Paula, there aren't any dedicated hosta growers close. I'm in Texas and hosta aren't common. Other than the big box stores, one nursery has hosta in the early spring. I have to be careful, as one local "general" grower that sells to local nurseries does hosta as one of their offerings. The only time I've gotten a hosta infected with HVX came from them. So, mail order is about my only option.

bkay I did get an acknowledgement letter to the cancelation with a cheery 'we will get back to you'.

Yeah, I received a similar email. They said that my refund would be "processed as soon as possible". I also used paypal.

Last year, I tried to cancel my order (in July) and they said it had already shipped. I didn't get any of the hosta I ordered. I can't remember what I received, but the only survivor was Empress Wu. The rest didn't put our another leaf when planted and did not return.

So, this season, I was going to be smart and order in early December. That didn't work either.

So sad. Near me a long time Nursery closed. Emerald Forest. It's also partly that younger people don't want yards or stuff to "manage". Rather condos and electronics. To each their own, I guess.
